International Society for Knowledge Organization (ISKO, https://www.isko.org/index.php) was founded in 1989 and is the leading international society devoted to the theory and practice of knowledge organization. ISKO has a broad and interdisciplinary scope, bringing together professionals from different disciplines such as information science, computer science, philosophy, and linguistics, as well as special domains such as health informatics. ISKO's mission is to advance conceptual work in knowledge organization in all kinds of forms, and for all kinds of purposes, such as databases, libraries, dictionaries and the Internet.
